Welcome to Ku-ring-gai Miniwheels Training Club
Ku-ring-gai Miniwheels Training Club is a junior motorcycle club for boys and girls over 4 years and up to 21 years of age. The club has been going for about 30 years and operates under Motorcycling Australia's code of conduct for Minikhana Rules.
KMW is a family-oriented group of people (with about 100 members) with some parents previously members of the club when they were younger. The Mums, Dads and kids all get involved in the activities and events that are held regularly through the season.
What we do
KMW is a Minikhana Club. This means that the Club runs a varied programme of events to encourage a broad range of skills varying from Trials to Minicross. The intent is to develop and encourage safe riding skills in all sorts of situations.
The club is fortunate enough to have its own facility in the St Ives Showground. Within the KMW grounds there are a number of tracks and event areas for different age groups and with varying degrees of difficulty. For example, there is a track specifically for the youngest riders or “Nippers”. There are also areas set aside for ‘hat’ events and trials training – and when combined, these areas are used for running Mini Enduro events.
As well as running our own Club Championships, there are special training days, fun days and weekends away. KMW also takes part in the St Ives Show each year, where they put on a motorcycle riding display, which is a lot of fun. Our keenest riders also compete in regional (interclub) events and/or Junior Motocross
