KMW provides 3 Coaching services:

1. Kick Start Program

The Kick Start Program is run by KMW Club Coaches to assess Junior riders that are first time applicants for a competition licence.  The Coaches, on behalf of Motorcycling NSW, must be satisfied that first time licence applicants are capable of competently controlling a motorcycle. Riders must also have a basic knowledge of the rules relating to competition and competition protocol.

The riding assessment involves such things as taking off from a standing start, stopping, riding around obstacles and turning off the motorbike. The course content also includes various coaching elements including riding position, cornering and Minikhana related skills or knowledge.

Competition knowledge content includes topics such as compulsory protective equipment, scrutineering, flags, code of conduct and alike.

The course is not difficult to complete successfully and this allows the rider to obtain a competition licence.

The Kick Start program costs $30 per rider.  For more information contact Owen Wiseman via email owiseman@amgroup.com

2. x5 hours Coaching for Relicensing

KMW Club Coaches run Coaching Days in order for Junior Riders to satisfy the 5 hours Coaching requirement under the Junior Coaching Program in order for riders to be relicensed.

The Days are listed in the Club Calendar and are generally operated on Saturdays at the Club.  To book a spot in a Coaching Day contact Owen Wiseman via email owiseman@amgroup.com. You must book in advance to attend a Coaching Day.

3. Professional Coaching Weekends

Each year KMW invites a number of professional motorbike coaches to come to the Club to provide advanced training.

Race Pace comes to KMW in April.  In October Y-AIM (Yamaha Australian Institute of Motocross) will come.

Keep a look out on Chain Chatter for more information on these Professional Coaching weekends.
